INCT-INEU and Research Group on International Conflicts (GECI/PUC-SP)
Hello! I hold a Ph.D in International Relations from the Interinstitutional Graduate Program in International Relations San Tiago Dantas from the São Paulo State University (UNESP), the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). I previously worked as a lecturer at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC-MG) and PUC-SP. I am also a member of the National Institute of Science and Technology for the Study of the United States (INCT-INEU) and the Research Group on International Conflicts (GECI/PUC-SP).
My research is interdisciplinary and draws from International, Political and Historical Sociology and Anthropology. My research interests include policing, security/insecurity governance, armed violence, counterinsurgency, peacebuilding operations, and the political economy of conflict. I am specially interested in Haiti and the entanglements of US foreign policy and violence and policing in the Western Hemisphere.
