Mexican-American academic and activist aiming to transform her career into a lifestyle that uplifts and develops marginal communities affected by violence. My work focuses on criminal violence, government corruption, migration, international development and social justice in Latin America. I am currently working on a project titled "Violence in Central America: The areas of limited statehood and its effects on forced migration," where I interview Central American migrants in shelters across Mexico in order to study forced migration and criminal violence.
